Tiberius Dynasty

Leaving Footfalls

After a sudden realization that someone was trying to kill the Captain, Echo Notch decided to do Vorians job and to guard Aheron closely. He did it so well that before they got to the ship, there was two more attempts on his life. Not feeling any of the stabs and arrow shots, Aheron’s body was failing, his leg began to falter, his knees to quiver, and he started to cough blood.
Ambush on the way back to the ship, did not help Aheron’s frail condition.
Surviving a scuffle, and learning later that Krawkin Feckward was behind the trivial attempts on their lives.
Having but a day before The Auction begins, they decided to ask around about this Krawkin Feckward. Learning that he’s a rogue trader and a slaver, and that he has near his dock a cargo container with ten thousand plus slaves, ready to be sold to the auction.

They left the business to the Seneschal, and she spared no expense and found the best of narco-gangers to get the job done sloppily, but efficiently. More then three thousand slaves died, and they let them loose all over Footfalls. Creating major disturbances over the entire station, and leaving quite the name for themselves in the records of the Imperium.

Later in the Obsidian Emporium the auction was being held, following the Madman’s plan, they offered him, as he was also a deamonhost. Bound and gagged, with his tentacle arms replaced by bionics, that were easily detachable, Keith Richards found a bit of a problem in killing twenty plus armed infantry, without hands, and in chains.

So the officers scored the entry to the witches secret club, and seen things that they shouldn’t.

Hour or so later, they disembarked for the system’s jump point, along with every other Rogue Trader that was in the port.

Several days later, nearing the outer reaches of the system and onto the warp jump, they were hailed by a nearby Rogue Trader Lord Admiral Bastille the VII. Who seemed to be firing into the void blindly, like he needed to get rid of all the ammunition his Cruiser was carrying. Deciding to help the old war veteran, they steered their transport ship with pathetic amount of ordnance for the fray, against an unknown assailant.

Responding to Bastille’s cries for assistance, they notified him, and Bastille ordered them to position themselves on the location near his ship, and await for the next strike. They learned that the threat was a cloaked Eldar ship.
With their meager positioning and not being able to score any hits against a far more maneuverable Eldar vessel, two Rogue Traders found themselves outgunned by the sole enemy ship.

Seeing that the enemy has chosen to cripple a weaker target, Bastille decided to break away from the combat and go silent, avoiding Eldar and leaving Tiberius Dynasty to fend for themselves.

Realizing they do not stand a chance against this vessel, Aheron called for a ceasefire and disengage. This was tried multiple times until finally they shook off the Eldar.

Now badly damaged, their ship continued the journey towards the warp jump point.

The Auction

As they arrived on back on footfalls ready to spend their earned gelts, they noticed a strange figure with elongated limbs, stalking them from the shadows. They gave chase the creature, but after several tight turns, it eluded them.
Later that day, many acquisitions were made in the name Tiberius APC Rhino has been purchased, dozen or so Arvus lite cargo transports, new bionics for the damaged five loyal soldiers who gave their limbs to bring profit factor to the house name. Aheron, purchased some gifts for their loyalty and was ready to unveil them. He summoned the entire crew of officers and all showed up but one. Missionary Mia was missing and wasn’t answering her vox summons.
One of the crewmen on the bridge noted that a ciphered message arrived for the Rogue Trader, a underground contact notified the crew, that if they want to see their missionary alive again, they must come to the junkyard and look for a man under the name of Keith. Intimidated by this empty threat they all packed up and headed for the yard.

Keith requested from them in the exchange that they find the location of an auction, by attending the local Nobilitae party and gather the information about the auction.
The auction is held by a cult of wyches, and he explained that he is a part of a team that works for an Inquisitor, and that it would be very bad if they disregarded the empty threat about Mia’s life, because he would then turn the eye of the Inquisition upon them. Which is the worst fear of every Rogue Trader. Quaking in terror from the future promises of this crazy person, instead of just shooting him in the head and disposing of him through the nearest airlock, they decided to do his bidding in hope that it will create future profit. [All of this because the Crazy Person was being played by a Player instead of the GM].

As the crazy person prognosticated, a servo skull adorned with purity seals and an Iron Halo, invited the officers to a fancy ball and a dinner party twelve hours from now, in the Liege’s mansion.

Later on at the ball introducing the filthy roaming lunatic, who didn’t even change from the filthy fecal stained clothes, to Nobilitae really did wonders for the Rogue Trader’s image. Thank the goodness they are now all dead.
After the disaster they seemed to not notice rolled by them, noble officers and the peripatetic lunatic sat at the fine heavy wooden table, to enjoy some of the worst meals royal kitchens can offer. Disregarding the health and safety as the thing of Ancient Terra, Nobilitae tries to outmatch one another to gain prestige and favor by devouring disgusting dishes that can cause, among other things: stomach pain, fatigue, and death… and faiths worse then death. But all in the cause of good fun and laughter. For what brings more joy to the room, then when you see one of your hated colleague’s flesh crackle as they bloat to humongous sizes.
Being bred and raised on a noble world, where debauchery like this was a part of every day existence, Aheron Tiberius did not beat around the bush. He straight up understood the game and ordered the most vile, the most dangerous, the most exotic, Warp Eel.
Seeing his glorious leader taking the bite out of the big game, Mordechai, could not resist to try his luck with sharing the captains meal. He was followed by Keith, Tanith One and Only, in devouring the delicious squirming warp hazard.

The Eyes of the God-Emperor were upon the officers as they suffered almost no Ill-effect, apart from mental instability. Mordechai was blessed by the great warp fish to broaden his horizons further, and shine stronger in the warp. (Effectively gaining one Psy Rating) While Aheron grew hair on his chest and became a man.
He manned up so much, that he did not feel the backstab from a combat knife, when an unknown assailant left it in his right kidney.
And Keith became took on a roll of a calamari, growing tentacle like appendages from his hands.

All of this did not stop them to be the life of the party, and find the location and the invitation to The Auction.

The Duel

After negotiating the terms for the duel, Hadarak set the terms, his astropath sent a message to their ship to attack and kill everyone aboard The Sanguinian Krieg. Hadarak had a Sword Class Frigate with abundance of heavy ordnance on board, while Sanguinian Krieg had one Macrocannon battery and flickery void shields. It was all on the honor, of Hadarak Fel, that he would call off the attack after the duel. They were to fight until yielding but not unto death, a rule that captains in their zeal have probably overheard. The automatic doors closed and the atmosphere started re-pressurizing. Hadarak said “..its a deal then, we duel, ’til yielding or untimely death, savy?”
“Aye, one condition, the victor allows the other a quick peak on the bridge.” -said the young Rogue Trader Acheron.
“Nay, I disagree with this, in both ways, win or lose I don’t want to see what I’ve lost, nor for you to see what I’ve won. Would defeat the purpouse of this duel. No?” – said the old grizzled trader.
They lowered their belts, disarmed their equipment, and took up mono-swords. Acherons team mates looked through the glassteel window of the bulkhead door, sitting in zero gravity, in their voidsuits awaiting the results of the duel.
Their raised their mono-blades and awaited one another to act first. The younger one was quicker on his feet and rashly struck for the old ones head, but he was ready for that strike and he parried the strike dashed for the kill, striking the young one in the chest, railing him back, and provoking him for another inaccurate strike. Adopting a parrying stance, Hadarak braced for the attack but the blade went through and caught him over the eye, opening his old scar. The old man reeled back taking defensive swings mid air to ward off any killing blows while he recuperated. Acheron said: “Do you need a moment to recover?” which sounded more provokingly then he intended, to which the old man replied “Quit blathering and fight.”
Swings of steel cutting the air filled the room and as the blades met sparks flew as mono edge bit the other one, old one fainting and slashing, each strike weakening his opponent a tad bit. Flesh was weak and Hadarak knew it. The victory for Hadarak was in his grasp.
Watching the spectacle paranoid ArchMilitant Vorian glanced back at the flood light illuminated hallway to see a stark shadow moving across the wall. One, no four more walking corpses appeared lumbering around the corner. Vorian shouted over the vox for his teammates to stand at attention and fire upon the oncoming horde.
Las rounds started flying and flamer started sloshing the flesh from the undying creatures bones, engulfing the entire hallway in a ball of fire, the heat was palpable even through the voidsuit.
Techpriest had misfortune with his bolt gun, it jammed every other shot making him miss terribly, but his technical knowledge of the machine spirit and their former relationship he knew how to appease the old spirit in a way of a quick and violent thrust of his hand, it was a magnificent sight to watch him work. ArchMilitant shot one dead with his bolt pistol, but the horde ignored the flames and continued coming.
The duel kept on and the two of the highest ranking figures of the imperium in this sector continued their death dance. Old vet pressed hard against the inexperienced combatant, fainting him with almost every strike, giving him multiple grievances, and fatiguing the young Acheron Tiberius.
As a kill strike was coming a miracle happened, a dance of fate, a strike that would pierce his sternum and come out of his back was avoided by sheer luck. Aherons back leg gave way to his weight for just a moment and the blade missed his center mass and went below his armpit. Remembering his training Acheron applied the strategy of fainting before striking, the old dog seen through the attempt and parried the strike, but not fast enough and the strike hit his leg, tearing a bit of the armor off and doing no real damage.
In the zero gravity grenades were creating spacing between the horde and the crew, but as the corpses were blown apart by explosions they just kept coming on, and soon would charge into melee.
The duel lasted, and by miracle or wave of fate many killing blows were thrown off, which greatly frustrated Hadarak, making him lose his temper at moments, forgetting to faint and just making a all out attack, catching Aheron on the leg, where armor absorbed most of the slash.
It was moments after the things gotten serious for Aheron, as he sustained a deep gash across his chest, leaving him breathless. Outside wounded Astropaths floated above the mayhem of melee bellow, psychically attacking the monstrous horde, use of his power manifested and everyone around the manifestation lost their breath, and soon after another strike, all electronic devices started malfunctioning and all the weapons jammed, whatever it was, it riled the machine spirit of everything nearby.
The manifestations left duelers devoid of breath, but unrelenting in their attacks. A slash across Aherons chest parted flesh from bone and blood soon covered his torso. The hit was returned in kind but Aheron made a deeper gash, opening Hadarak’s chest and splashing red warm liquid all over the floor and combatants. Aheron yelled: “Yield!” and Hadarak responded with a fierce determination: “Never!” blood spewing from his lips.
Hadarak lunged and changed direction of his attack and caught Aheron flat footed, stabbing him deep through the stomach, making him rest on Hadaraks shoulder and grabbing his arm not to twist the blade as Hadarak intended, and with the other arm, he planted the sword deep in Hadarak’s gut, cutting it open and spilling his innards on the floor, dropping Hadarak to his knees and back to the floor, splashing against the pool of his own blood that was smeared by footsteps. First action Aheron did after he pulled out the blade from his gut was to go for a nearby medicae kit, and a spray of syntiflesh and sealed a gaping hole on his stomach, and as he was about to seal the other wound on his chest he looked at his dying opponent. He was a miserable pile of awful. Resting on the floor, his guts sprawling about and bleeding with each heartbeat his lifeblood, Aheron could not help it but feel sorry for the creature that was dishonest to him. He gazed at the bottle of synthiflesh and decided his previous opponent needed it more then he did, and he went to aid him. He did not put the viscera back in, but just sprayed the flesh to stop the further bleeding, he would need surgery anyway. This was possibly the only thing he could have done. He then wiped the fog that has formed on the glassteel window where his allies fought and saw them in peril. He quickly proceeded to put on his void suit, so he can depressurize the cabin and let his allies in. Another minute passed and the combat outside was becoming grim. Aheron opened the secondary door to the bridge without even looking at the code written on his dataslate and dropped the corpse of the late Hadarak Fel onto the bridge, closed the door and rushed back to open the door for his allies, helping himself against the wall, hunched over holding his wounds, bleeding into his voidsuit. He opened the keypad from memory again, as he saw the combination when he entered and his teammates fell in shooting at the mangled bodies that lumbered after them. The heavy bulkhead door came down and crushed one of the following corpses, and the room started pressurizing, but before it was completed Vorian opened the door to the bridge and created a vortex inside the bridge that raised all the dust, which reduced the visibility down to a meter. Nothing but lights of lumen torches on their voidsuits wasn’t visible in the dust. Incredible sense of isolation came over them. Mia realized that the particles flying around was human skin, and noticed that Hadarak Fel was still alive, she was to put him out of his misery but Aheron said to aid him, so she did as best she could. Suturing the wounds not covered with syntiflesh, and covered the fallen captain from the exposure to dust, giving him a re-breather mask.
In front of them stood a climax of their labors, rewards and hopes of treasures untold.

Exploring the Righteous Path

Upon disembarking the Aquila-Lander they started navigating the icy asteroid in their bulky void suits. Seconds later they noticed two voidsmen dressed in Fel colours, running from the Gun-cutter which was gearing for a takeoff. Seconds later Tiberian Aquila Lander was taking heavy fire in a dogfight. Afraid not to lose profit in repairing and purchasing another vessel, inexperienced Rogue Trader ordered the vessel to back off, leaving the infantry and officers that were now exposed to Fel Gun-Cutter.
Vorians quick thinking and command saved the officers lives, for he immediately belayed the previous order, and saved a lot of lives that day.
Reaching the safety of the thick Grand Cruisers hull, they absolutely forgotten to give the disengage order to the Aquila-Lander, suffering heavy damage but winning the dogfight.
Dark and vast hallways awaited them, filled with possibilities of ambushes around each corner.
The old vessel had too many bulkheads and anatomy unknown to the crew. Eventually the Tech-Priest convinced everyone that his maps were right, and lead everyone to the bridge, surviving one ambush in vacuum along the way.
Coming around the corner to the bright light and a few stark shadows, they tried to surprise the bunch of Fel Armsmen in front of the bridge door, but that went afoul when the missionary failed to sneak up to her position, alerting the enemies.
The gunfight erupted, and it went in the favor of explorers.
Troops that died in the firefight were the Hadaraks men, guarding the first door to the bridge, behind whom Hadarak was with his psyker, trying to decipher the second keycode lock.
After a brief negotiation the traders struck a deal, Aheron and his men find the keycode to the second door, and in turn they would duel for the ships bounties. Explorers set out through the dark halls to the enginarium, shadowed by something dark. After the arrival to the enginarium they broke in and tried to start up an emergency power generator.
Scouring the ship, they didn’t find any bodies at all, apart from the med bay, where a few corpses lay strewn about, one amongst them was a previous captain of the derelict ship. Previously found dataslate in his quarters that was being charged by the techpriest lumien, to reveal a disturbing message in the last journal entry. In his lunacy, he has hid puzzles along the ship, playing with the crew, one of the puzzles was hidden in the med bay autodock, where the series of chain scalpels and monoblades would carve the numbers in a live occupants flesh. The nervous subordinates exchanged worrisome looks, who of them was to be sacrificed to the madness of the long dead captain. There was a disturbance in the hallway, after a careful exploration, they noticed the debris from the ruins, floating around in zero gravity, attracted by the artificial gravity of the med bay. After the false alarm they returned to the subject at hand. As soon as the first breath was taken to talk about the machine and the sick puzzle one of the five soldiers in the corridor noticed a shambling corpse, followed by a horde of others.
Bunched up in the medbay, the time running out, Astropath jumped on the torture rack and hit the activation rune, butchering himself and almost bleeding to death, while the EchoNotch worked on opening the vents for their escape.Making their escape they returned to the bridge avoiding hordes of shambling corpses.

Savages in Space
The Five Kooks

Scouring the Ancient Battlegrounds, auger arrays picked up the basic signal for help. Localizing on the frequency, and performing a focused scan they established it was a lost pilgrim vessel traversing the void to pay homage to the Macro Statue of the God-Emperor on Drusian Footfalls. She was crippled and bleeding plasma into the void, making the approach with a bigger vessel dangerous. On that note it was voted and decided by the officers of the Sanguinain Krieg, that the exploration mission of the derelict vessel should be undertaken by the five “lucky volunteers”.
The honoured five were the Sarge, Darius the assault specialist, Kunz the heavy weapon specialist, Dagon the Demolitions and Engineer, Walter the Recon specialist.

The Aquilla Lander was fueled and primed for a longer journey to the near-by vessel a couple of void units away. Sarge took the helm started the engines and the rest embarked the troop carrier in the back. Six poker matches and Sarges eight Lho-sticks later, Kunz won a dinner date with the Navigator Wyn on which he must make at least two puns about the eye, Darius had to confess to the Missionary about his sinful behavior in the bunk when thinking about Mia, who was the Missionary, and the worst of them all, had to sneak into the crazed teenaged missionaries room and plant pict-capture devices and later retrieve and deliver them to Darius.

The arrival was a little bumpy thanks to the intoxicants in Sarges blood, but they managed somehow. Gaining entry to the ruin was harder then expected, requiring copious amount of explosives and even overloading the lasgun battery packs to melt the rusted locks.

The belly of the beast was haunted by strange sounds and spreading flora of a broken Arboretum. The insides of the great ship resembled an abandoned temple to the God-Emperor, on a verdant world. In the far back of the great hall, covered by debris overgrown by moss, something moved, and ran away from the motley crew, which they enveloped in extensive lasgun fire.
The foolish five, for some reason decided the best course of action would be to split up. Walter took the vox caster out of the belly of the bulk and on the fringes tried to contact the flagship. While the rest explored the strange noises coming from deeper within the vessel.
Moments later they suffered a terrible ambush by what looked like savage primitive tribe of Ancient Tera. Few spears later and gunshots, Kunz was disabled and engulfed by the oncoming waves of savages. While Sarge almost sacrificed rest of the survivors trying to save a fallen comrade.
While Walter Went With a Woman Who’s Wax Was Wet
On the other side of the ship, Walter found a strange stalker. Young girl, with a lack of communication skills, who lead him to her village where he was captured but the girl tried tried to convince the chieftain to let him go. In the end Walter was taken to be sacrificed to the Dark God.
The remaining three, decided their bravado would not end like this, they tracked the blood trail, of their former heavy weapon specialist. Arriving in the village near the life support system, where from the higher position they had saw their friend in a cage amongst eaten skeletons that belonged to the differently dressed tribe. They decided the best course of action against a countless horde of people would be an open assault. They were wrong.
Upon sustaining multiple wounds of onrushing attackers, they too were captured and taken to the Dark God.

When Walter arrived to the Temple to the foul creature he found a strange machine of war, and inside a man, skeletal and frail, surrounded by four fit tribal warriors with tarnished powerswords in their hands. His allies tied to posts surrounding the podium where the evil machine spirit lay. It was an abomination. Sacrilege. Frail human in the astartes sarcophagus of war, The Ancient Dreadnaught.

Sarge tried to negotiate when Walter arrived, but that proved to be a mistake, for when he requested to be freed from his bonds, his wish came true, but he lost his arms at the wrist, in one fell swoop of the powersword. Thanks to the other tribes pacifist way, Walters hands were not bound, and he took a krak grenade and tossed it into the malfunctioning Dreadnaught. The ancient machine of war, was not meant to be used by a human, and therefore could not close properly, allowing Walters grenade to slip in and damage the frail man. Walter survived a cut from a powersword, and parried the other with his monoknife which against all odds held and deflected the enhanced edge of the power sword. While damaged machine trashed about, not differentiating friend from foe, Walter saved Kunz and Darius, while Dagon managed to dislocate his thumb and slip his bonds.

Few more of Walters grenades that were now passed about to all apart from armless sarge, who could not snap out of shock of losing his both hands and bleeding to death. They filled the ancient machine with all sorts of ordnance, and fought the fit tribesmen while their “God” slowly let out their final breaths. Earning more wounds then they can count, the ordeal was over, the flagship was hailed and savages were press-ganged, to feed the great engines and serve unto death, never to feel the freedom of running about the derelict floating city. They recovered a great gem, worth much to the right buyer. Ancient Machine of War, belonging to Adeptus Astartes. Rest of the ship was scavanged and the hulk taken apart by macro-cannon fire, in hope to prevent it from becoming a part of a dreaded spacehulk.

The Righteous Path
Quick overview

Upon arrival on the dock of the Port Wander, the crew of the Sanguinian Krieg, was hailed by welcoming messages from all the docked ships, granting them the right of passage, as it is per custom. One of the messages was a contact from the strange man, Orbest Dray, filthy old vagabond, claiming he has something belonging to the Tiberius family.

Upon some consideration, Bloodwyn Tiberius, his brother Aheron, and a couple of his officers ventured to inspect the claims of this man.
Indeed the vagabond had something for them, a mnemolith, which was taken a second after discovered, in the ambush on the officers in the middle of the Court of the Dead. Engaged by another Rogue Traders party while staying in a protected zone. Something strictly forbidden by all laws and in the warrant of trade. Crew of the infamous Hadarak Fel attacked the group and murdered the other Rogue Trader Bloodwyn, making Aheron a new Captain of the ship.
Mnemolith was almost lost if not for Mordechai, who read the signatures from the astropathic beacon.

Prideful Aheron, stricken with grief and bound for vengeance set out to hunt Hadarak Fel and his crew for their crimes.

Careful planing of the route through the warp, made them stop in the Battleground to scour a vessel, where five brave soldiers took the task, and brought profit back for the entire dynasty.

Discovered the Righteous Path they did.
Aherons officers consisted of Explorator EchoNoch, Arch Militant Vorian Blade, Astropath Mordechai, small but always angsty teen girl with a chainsword, null maiden, Mia.

After the search of the sector, investigation of the ancient ruins of a race long forgotten and some near encounters with the Orks, they found the location of the crashed ship.
They arrived near the Grand Cruiser “Righteous Path” on the same frozen asteroid, in the halo surrounding the system. The ship has sat there for over ten millennia, safe to say all aboard it was dead and beyond.
